Repair Café & TerraCycle Collection

Don’t throw away your broken item – bring it to the Repair Café! SalemRecycles will be hosting a Repair Café on Saturday November 16th from 9am-12 noon at the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street. Appointments are required and walk ins will not be accepted. Schedule an appointment (TBA) Repair volunteers will be available to mend clothing, sew buttons, tinker with or rewire electronics and lamps, computer diagnostics, glue wooden furniture and ceramics, repair bicycles or preform bike tune-ups, and more. Please keep in mind these services may change as we confirm volunteers. We hope to see you at this fun event where you can learn how to fix things and reduce your waste!
TERRACYCLE — We’re collecting FIVE TerraCycle brigades of otherwise hard-to-recycle items. Please keep each TerraCycle stream separate.
** Swiffers: All used, dried Swiffer pads.
** Razors: All brands of reusable and disposable razors, blades & cartridges, as well as any flexible or rigid plastic packaging they come in.
** Dental Care: Toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, mouthwash bottles, & floss containers. All brands, plus toothbrush packaging.
** Deodorant: All brands of deodorant containers and caps.
** Razors: All brands of reusable and disposable razors, blades & cartridges, as well as any flexible or rigid plastic packaging they come in.
** Dental Care: Toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes, mouthwash bottles, & floss containers. All brands, plus toothbrush packaging.
** Deodorant: All brands of deodorant containers and caps.
**Brita: Brita dispenser, Brita pitchers, Brita bottles, Brita standard filters, Brita Stream filters, Brita bottle filters, Brita filter packaging, Brita Longlast® filters, Brita Stream® pitchers.
