Zero Waste Events City of Salem & SSU

Wednesday March 20th:

1. Free Waste Reduction Assistance- Want to reduce waste at your business?  We’ll have a Waste Reduction Consultant from RecyclingWorks doing on-site waste assessments for participating businesses on March 20^th, 2024.  Assessments take about 30-45 min and will include a summary report and ongoing customized guidance to help you start or improve waste reduction programs. Fill out the registration form here to get on the schedule: https://recyclingworksma.com/getassistance/ (Space is limited so please register by March 6th!)

Friday March 22nd:

1. Salem State University Zero Waste Swap: Event will take place from 10 am – 1:30 pm at the Ellison Campus Center (ECC) Alumni Plaza. (Rain location is ECC Martin Luther King, Jr. room).  Drop items off at ECC lobby from 12:30 – 6:00 pm on Thursday March 21^st or bring items to the event on Friday. Shop the Swap for clothes, shoes, books, office supplies, dorm décor and small dorm room items. Everything will be free! Open to the public.
2. Salem Public Schools – Various activities;

Saturday March 23rd:

1. E-Waste Recycling Drive through event 8am- 12 pm Salem High School, 77 Willson Street
2. Free Document Shredding – Drive through event from 8 am – 12 pm Horace Mann Elementary School, 79 Willson Street
3. SalemRecycles Free Book Swap & TerraCycle Collection10 am – 1 pm Community Life Center, 401 Bridge Street

Sunday March 24th:

1. Beautification Committee Litter Cleanup 10 am – 12 pm Gallows Hill (Register Here)
